Tata Motors today reported revenues (net of excise) of Rs.7978.82 crores on a stand-alone basis for the quarter ended September 30, 2009, of the financial year 2009-10, compared to Rs.7078.85 crores in the corresponding quarter last year, a growth of 12.7%.
Tata Motors today reported gross revenue (stand-alone) of Rs.28599.27 crores (2007-08: Rs.33093.93 crores) in 2008-09, a year marked by severe demand contraction in the automobile industry.
Tata Motors today reported consolidated gross revenue of Rs.74151.21 crores in 2008-09. The consolidated financial performance of the company is not comparable to 2007-08 on account of the acquisition of Jaguar Land Rover in June 2008. In 2007-08, the consolidated gross revenue was Rs.40340.79 crores.
Tata Motors today raised Rs. 4200 crores ($ 840 million) through issue of Secured Non-Convertible Rupee Debentures. The issue opened for bids today at 10 am and closed at 5 pm. The funds raised will be used for part repayment of the $3 billion bridge facility taken for acquiring Jaguar Land Rover. Tata Motors had earlier prepaid $1.11 billion.

Tata Motors’ domestic sales for the month of May 2009 were 38,392 nos., an 11% decline over 42,916 nos. sold in May last year. However, they were 6% higher compared to 36,257 nos. sold in the previous month of April 2009.
Tata Motors’ total sales (including exports) of Tata commercial and passenger vehicles were 45,399 vehicles, a decline of 4% over 47,245 vehicles sold in June last year.
The Tata Nano has drawn over 2.03 lakh fully paid bookings amounting to nearly Rs.2,500 crores, in an encouraging response to the car launched on 23rd March.

Allcargo Global Logistics Limited, one of the leading logistics service providers in India, today reported net sales of Rs. 631.5 crore for the quarter ended September 30, 2008 compared to Rs. 403.9 crore in corresponding period of last fiscal year, registered an increase of 56.3 %.
Net Profit for the third quarter stood at Rs. 47.4 crore, registered a growth of 151 % as compared to Rs. 18.9 crore posted in the same period of last fiscal year. Diluted Earnings per share (EPS) increased by 107% to Rs. 17.6 as compared to Rs. 8.5 in corresponding period of last fiscal year. The operating margin for Q3 CY08 was at 11.3% as against 7.0% in Q3 CY 07 registering an increase of 430 bps.
